St.Pauls day of opening the new adventure playground 19th June

We stapled paper again to tree bark around the trees in St.PAuls adventure playground which opened having been had loads of incredible things made in it like the massive treehouse, square trampoline, pirate ship and swinging thick rope you can all sit on at once. Understandabl
y all the kids who were there were generally much more interested in enjoying all these amazing things in the playground so didn't get into drawing until later in the afternoon, but then they drew loads.

We had a really good afternoon meeting some really brilliant kids and seeing their drawings.

Also we were quite fascinated by the small square trampoline and the long plastic tune in the treehouse which you can talk down in whatever tree creature type voice you so feel like using.

We had a drawing session using charcoal and a rubber to draw back into the charcoal.

Beeny's chair drawing shows very well how you can use the rubber to make a light drawing in the charcoal.

I really like these drawings. That tree at the bottom is amazing.

This drawing was dropped in to the Big Issue to put up on the blog by Gareth who sat and drew with us two or three weeks ago. There are a few drawings we did with him earlier in the blog. It'd be great if Gareth wants to keep drawing with us so hopefully he'll come again!

The workshops are going well. We had 8 kids in Full circle on Tuesday and took them out to the park to memorize something, go back and draw whatever it was from memory. They were all enthusiastic about drawing. we're hoping they come regularly.

The Amana workshop has still to get going, we need to publicize it more. My friend Mohamed might come along next time. The workshops are getting going little bit by bit. I feel positive about them, its really obvious people like drawing once they get over the idea that some people"can' drawn and some "can't".
