Full circle drawings July 6th

This workshop is going really well. Today we had loads of kids who came and all drew for an hour and a half non- stop. These are the drawings they made.

Big Issue 6th July

Today we didn't do any drawing other than twenty minutes in the Big Issue office. Then we met Marmite who took us up to the Dove Street flats behind Stokes Croft to meet Smiler who has been gardening there outside his flat and inviting his Somalian neighbours to help. He's got a beautiful garden with vegetables, herbs and flowers on a little slope. Our plan is to go and draw there when he gardens next week and see if people are up for joining in drawing and if we can learn some gardening.

We've decided that for the Big Issue workshops the best thing to do is draw for half an hour in the office, using it as a base so if people want to come and find us they know wher we are at 2 oclock every Tuesday. If no-one comes by half past two we go out looking for people to draw with, like Lisa who drew with us last week in the Bear Pit.

Full circle drawings June 29th

Loads of kids came to the workshop again. We worked on the big collage again but everyone drew other things as well, as you can see here.

Amazing drawings, we're really excited about how this workshop is developing.

Big Issue 29th June

We are going out looking for people to draw with now as what with the hot weather we're having people aren't coming into the Big Issue entrance so much. We got talking with Lisa in the Bear Pit and she was really open to drawing with us and drew this beautiful drawing of the tree and part of the Bear Pit. she said she hasn't drawn since she was a kid! Really hope we can draw with her again the way she draws lines is great.
